The Australian and Queensland government have committed $10 Million towards the project. 

The department is duplicating a section of Beaudesert–Beenleigh Road between Mount Warren Boulevard and Tallagandra Road from 2 to 4 lanes. In addition, new and upgraded active transport paths will be constructed.

Drainage will also be upgraded to improve flood immunity.

Current status

The construction contract was awarded in December 2024. Works are expected to take 12 months to complete, finishing in late 2025.

Early works were completed in 2022, including water service relocations in advance of main construction.
