This year Macalister family budgets are going to be a little bit tougher under the new State Government. There are no energy bill rebates this year and on top of that car rego is rising.

Disappointingly, the new government did not commit to improved health services locally and the Beenleigh satellite hospital will not happen. I will keep fighting to ensure there are no cuts to the Logan Hospital expansion project and that the Coomera Hosptial is delivered.

On a personal note, I would like to thank the Macalister community for your overwhelming support while I received treatment for my recent brain tumour diagnosis. My recovery is going well, and I am in the process of a staged return to work. During this time, I have kept up to date with what is happening in Macalister, and
